Hello Catharine Valley Half Community,

Thank you for registering for the Catherine Valley Half Marathon this year! Our current registration is on pace to surpass last year's totals, so we are off to a great start. I want to inform you of an opportunity that has arisen in collaboration with this year's event.

Dream Catalyst launched in our community on May 19th this year at La Tourelle Resort. Dream Catalyst is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving children facing obstacles including homelessness. They make life long commitments to children and their dreams, based on the knowledge that all it takes is one person to believe in a child to make all the difference. Through one to one pairings, Dream Catalyst promises to follow the dream within each child we serve. Whether the dream is to become a singer, dancer, or marathoner; we will be there EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!

We also get the honor of celebrating birthdays along the way. This is a pivotal day in every one's life course. It is our vision to transform the birthdays of the youth we serve, so that they know how valued and cherished they truly are!

Dream Catalyst is developing a racing team, and all those currently registered for the Catherine Valley Half Marathon are cordially invited to join. Should you chose to join the team, we ask that support the mission and vision, by raising funds and spreading awareness. We ask that each new teammate commit to raising $200. We will provide both a virtual and paper sponsor sheet.

On August 21, the day of the Catherine Valley Half Marathon, Dream Catalyst will co-host a Fun Run for Kids following the completion of the half marathon. There will be a .5 to 1 mile course (TBD) for the children to run, followed by a reception that will include gifts and prizes for all who participate. We will celebrate the fundraising accomplishments of the Dream Catalyst Team, and detail future opportunities for engagement with this essential mission.
